Obituary for TIMOTHY MARC HENRY

Timothy Marc Henry of Magnolia, TX passed away following a prolonged illness on Friday, November 9, 2018, at the age of fifty-four.

Marc was born on March 24, 1964, in Winter Haven, FL, to Richard Henry and the late Jo Ann Fuller Henry. He graduated from Montgomery High School in 1983 and earned a degree in Automotive and Diesel Mechanics from Universal Technical Institute (UTI). Marc held many positions in the mechanical field during his career, but his passion was sharing his knowledge of the oilfield industry with others. Marc was a gifted and skilled teacher and instructor, and before his death he authored several texts and manuals that his family hopes to publish posthumously in his honor. Marc’s most recent position was as an instructor at Houston Community College.

Marc will be remembered for his quick laugh and his huge heart. He loved country music, being outdoors, collecting and shooting guns, and spending time on the beach. His favorite day was Sunday because it was the day his family all gathered together. Most of all, though, he just loved his family. Marc married his high school sweetheart, Denise Herzog, in 1987 and together they shared a lifetime of love in Marc’s short time on earth. Their legacy of commitment and faith has been passed on to their three children: Courtney Henry Copeland, Carley Henry, and Colton Henry. Marc was also joyfully anticipating the arrival of his first grandchild, Brynlee Ann, who is due in February.

During his lifetime, Marc was fortunate to be able to travel all over the world including trips to Norway, Singapore, Brazil, and Mexico. However, his favorite place was the beach in Destin, FL, where he vacationed often with his family. Marc had a lifelong love of the ocean and the beach and chose Destin as his final resting place. His family will spread his ashes there later.
Marc is preceded in death by his mother, Jo Ann Fuller Henry, and his niece, Brittany Page. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Denise (Herzog) Henry; his daughters Courtney Copeland (Matt) and Carley Henry (Logan Worley) and his son, Colton Henry; a sister, Michele Henry Welsh (Jim); nieces Brooke Page (Jonathan Rhoden), Nicole Herzog, Rachel Herzog, and Leah Welsh; nephews Anthony Malek, Matthew Malek (Jessica), and Jonathan Malek; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, students, and friends. Marc’s family would especially like to thank Carol and Corkey Page, Nickie and Robin Herzog, Manas Goyal and Aarushi Goel, Frank Malek, Allison Blocker Murray, Janet Schumacher, and Conner Schumacher Clark for their love and support throughout Marc’s final illness.

A memorial service celebrating Marc’s life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 10 am in the Robb Chapel of The Woodlands United Methodist Church at 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Aldersgate Hall at the church. All who knew and loved Marc are welcome; the family suggests that guests wishing to honor Marc wear his favorite color, orange, or something related to turtles, which were his favorite animal. Memorial donations in memory of Marc may be made to the American Liver Foundation.
