A proud partner of Honoring a Life

Kathryn Elizabeth Clemonds passed peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends on December 22, 2018 in Tomball, Texas. She was born December 6, 1948 in Fairfield, California. As a child of the U.S.A.F. service member, she grew up in various locations throughout Europe, Asia and the U.S. where they ultimately settled in Glendale, Arizona. Kathy graduated from Glendale High School where she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Harry Clemonds and had two daughters, Tammy and Jennifer.
Kathy was a champion and advocate for Miniature Pinchers and all things dogs. She raised and showed Min-Pins the majority of her life and later loved spending time helping her daughter foster and rescue dogs with the Texas Animal Society or helping with the animals on the Funny Farm. She was an avid collector of coins, stamps, DVD’s, trinkets and animal figurines. She loved to garden and if weeding was a sport, she would have been a world champion. She loved being with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always up for an adventure, especially if it ended with a shopping spree at Walmart.
Kathy may have been small in stature, but she had the will and fight of a warrior. She loved her family fiercely and braved the fight of her illness for over 30 years, earning the nickname of the Energizer Bunny, never ceasing to amaze with her ability to power through when all hope was gone. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Shirley Stephens, and brother Stacy Stephens. Kathy is survived by her daughter Tammy Parker and husband Joey Montgomery, daughter Jennifer Clemonds and wife Leah Medeiros, grandchildren Nicole and Meagan Parker, Liam Montgomery, Makalie Clemonds, Allyson and Megan Medeiros, great-grandchildren Clementine Wessale, JennaLynn and Mason Parker, brothers Walter and Tim Stephens, cherished nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends she always considered as family, her dogs Bailey and Daisy and her cat Rags.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial will be held on January 5th at 4PM at 5603 Bright Timber Landing, Spring Texas, 77386. In lieu of flowers, if you prefer to make a donation, please make a donation to the Texas Animal Society in her name, or to your favorite local animal rescue/ charity. The family would like to thank everyone for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
